Scott Brownrigg is delighted to announce that Priit Jürimäe from the practice’s Cardiff office has won first place in the RIBA Skyline Drawing Competition.

Organised by the RIBA Design Circle, the competition challenged entrants to imagine a future skyline for Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend or Merthyr Tydfil, pictured in the year 2108.

The catch was that each entrant had to represent their vision with a single, continuous hand-drawn line on landscape A3 white or tracing paper. The line had to terminate on the right and left sides of the page and the whole design had to be completed without removing the pen’s nib from start to finish.

All entries were presented anonymously before a judging panel which included Scott Brownrigg’s Group Board Director Neil MacOmish.

Priit’s entry was unanimously chosen, with judges praising it for being both clever and skillful.

In addition to winning a prize, Design Circle also intend to exhibit the winning drawing as part of the Wales Festival of Architecture.
