Project Pride
We were Architects for this Specialist Headquarters building at RAF Wyton, for a UK Defence Organisation, and their supporting Engineering Regiment.
We designed the main headquarters facility with a distinctive 70m curved roof form that provides a highly effective solution to the demanding security and CTM requirements of the project. Combined with the supporting technical buildings the development accommodates over 1,100 personnel.
Under the Programme to Rationalise and Integrate the Estate (PRIDE), we designed a state-of-the-art headquarters building to house intelligence staff in a completely open plan environment. Coupled with sophisticated IT systems this enables innovative collaborative working practices. In addition to the HQ building a selection of technical facilities were also provided. All the buildings achieved BREEAM “Excellent”.
