Scott Brownrigg Project Directors Nick Ridout and Elizabeth Thompson will be joining a discussion hosted by NKILI Architecture and RIBA West London Architects on Tuesday 25 June at RIBA’s site on Portland Place, London.

The office market is shifting; users are becoming more demanding of their office spaces. Leases are becoming shorter and more flexible. Emphasis on wellbeing and the positive effect this has on productivity and talent retention is key for businesses seeking to attract and retain the best people. These changing demands are driving a wider range of offers to the commercial office market, with an increasing requirement to provide differentiation.

‘Designing for the future of workspace’ will focus on Victoria Gate, Woking. Scott Brownrigg has redeveloped the 63,375 sq ft commercial office building for Aviva Investors, which was originally designed by Scott Brownrigg in 1985. It has been stripped back to the original frame, extensively modernised and extended to increase its appeal to the competitive commercial market to take it from 1985 into the 21st Century. Creating an additional 25% lettable space, the building has recently been let to Formula One racing company McLaren Automotive.

NKILI Architecture’s Director Tolani Nkili Onajide will be leading the conversation with Nick and Elizabeth. Nick Ridout heads up our Commercial Sector, and has been successfully involved in the conceptual design and delivery of a range of high quality, complex projects. Elizabeth Thompson has been Project Leader for a number of BCO award-winning schemes, including the extensive refurbishment of Victoria Gate.

RIBA members and non-members are welcome to join the 150 professionals for an evening of networking, canapés, wine and a thought-provoking conversation. Please follow the Eventbrite link to get your ticket.
