Scott Brownrigg has been recognised at this year’s West of England Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Excellence Awards.

The annually held awards celebrate excellence in the construction industry focusing on vital elements in the creation of excellent buildings; technical innovation, sustainability and high performance. They also seek to celebrate the ‘X’ factor special working relationships that produce new or creative solutions.

UTC Swindon  has been shortlisted in three categories; “Best Educational Building” “Best Public Service Building” and “Best Change of use of an Existing Building or Conversion”. Winterbourne Academy has also been shortlisted for “Best Educational Building”.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held at the Bristol City Centre Marriott on 10 July 2015.

All winning projects at these West of England Awards will automatically be shortlisted for the LABC Grand Finals, which will take place in London on Tuesday 10 November.

UTC Swindon and Winterbourne Academy are the latest in a stream of projects in the last three years delivered by Scott Brownrigg's Cardiff office that have been recognised by the LABC for construction excellence, following in the footsteps of Reservoir House, Chilton Trinity School and Swimming Pool and Coleg Cymunedol y Dderwen.
