The HQ fit-out for a confidential global financial services company at Quartermile 3, Edinburgh has made the shortlist for the Mixology North Commercial Interiors – over 30,000 sq ft Award.

The five-floor Quartermile 3 building provided an attractive opportunity for the company to relocate from the outskirts of Edinburgh to a more modern building in the city centre’s Quartermile development.

Following an extensive employee engagement study that enabled the client to understand the changing needs of their employees, our team of Interior Designers created an elegant and refined office space, befitting a Scottish headquarters. The new building and workplace environment delivers a world-class client suite and bespoke employee training facilities.

Floors 1- 4 provide open office floors, whilst Floor 5 is shared by employees and clients and comprises a client lounge (used day and night), a client-meeting suite, a ‘Flex Center’ and a deli cafeteria, which directly links to a roof garden. A deep blue, painted timber cladding encompasses these spaces, linking the aesthetic to the company’s traditional branding, whilst providing a calm and modern feel.

The Mixology North Awards is the most prestigious award ceremony in the North, created for the dynamic and innovative interior design community. Winners will be announced at the awards night in Manchester on 5 December 2019.
