We are pleased to welcome Vivien Leong to Scott Brownrigg’s Singapore Studio. Joining as a Project Director, Vivien was recently a winner at the Singapore Women’s Weekly prestigious ‘Great Women of Our Time’ Awards 2019.

The 18 trailblazers were awarded as winners of their categories, and recognised for their inspirational and empowering careers. Categories included Arts & Media; Design & Style, Finance & Commerce; Public Service & Education; Science and Technology; and Sports, Health & Wellness.

Winning the Design & Style category, the judges recognised Vivien’s wealth of experience at award-winning architectural practices in Singapore and the UK, and her wide-ranging skills in executing diverse typologies, including leisure, office, transportation, education, and mixed-use developments. Vivien was also chosen as one of the Top 15 Architects and Engineers Under 40 by the Singapore Business Review in 2015.

“There is great satisfaction in being able to use my professional skills to help solve people’s problems and improve their lives,” she told Women’s Weekly. “It might not have to be an expensive project, sometimes just moving a piece of furniture from one place to other results in a big improvement in the way space is used or experienced. Beyond the bricks and mortar, I like the human aspect of architecture.”

On joining the studio, Vivien will be working on expanding Scott Brownrigg’s portfolio in Singapore and the region.
