Architect Victoria Savage, based in our Cardiff studio has won the ‘New Professional of the Year Award’ at the Constructing Excellence G4C (Generation for Change) Wales Award, held last night at the Senedd, Cardiff.
The G4C Wales awards are a driving force in Welsh construction with a focus on the industry’s young professionals who have an interest in the Welsh built environment. The awards seek to showcase the talent of the young people in the Welsh construction industry.
The New Professional of the Year Award considers candidates who have completed professional studies within the construction and built environment sector within the past 36 months, and who demonstrate excellence in the industry: striving to make great contributions to the industry while demonstrating exemplary performance in their field of expertise standing out from their peers.
Victoria’s win reflects her diligence and appetite for new challenges. Her experience working on past projects, including Ditton Park Academy, was also taken into consideration.
Victoria’s colleague, Jo Hart, was also shortlisted for the Future Leader Award. Jo competed in a highly competitive category this year, and reaching the shortlist was recognition of her instrumental role in the delivery of the new London Design and Engineering UTC amongst other schemes.
