Michael is a Director and manages and leads the London studio, taking responsibility for its smooth running and care of its people. He is additionally Commercial Lead for our Rail, Defence and Security sectors.

Within the Rail and Infrastructure sector Michael is responsible for establishing client relationships, tender negotiations, and overseeing commissions for infrastructure projects. He has been an architect for 40 years, with 30 years of experience in the design of transport buildings. Michael has wide ranging experience of high value, complex multi-disciplinary engineering in Architect-led teams and also as a sub-consultant acting within the Engineers overall team. Both contractual positions require a full understanding of safety and QA, the rules, regulations and instructions required in procurement methods, and ability and knowledge to liaise with TfL, Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, Multi-Disciplinary Consultants, Contractors and other commissioning bodies.

His recent projects include East London Line Surrey Quays station, and Surrey Canal station for TfL; Dawlish station SFA and refurbishment for Network Rail; HS2 Washford Heath Depot for HS2; Meridian Water station for Network Rail; Metropolitan Line Extension for London Underground and the Tottenham Court Road station Upgrade.
