Housing 730 staff over eight floors, the new office space responds to the client’s key ambitions to ‘Re-build, Re-gain, Re-invigorate’ their new office environment by providing a wide variety of work settings to support different workstyles; empowering creative collaboration and innovation, and facilitating focus and rejuvenation.
To infuse the workplace with a ‘sense of place’. Inspired by local culture and the location of Gdynia, the design echoes the natural materials, forms and colours of coastline and forest. The design also optimises the base build by revealing original fair-faced concrete walls and making the most of panoramic views.
Alongside a variety of working environments, spaces are designed to enhance a sense of community. A multi-functional communal space set around island coffee points encourages informal collaboration, and is large enough for staff social events, presentations to over 100 people, and exhibitions of local photography.
